Hydraulic Power Units for Casinjacs

A Casinjac requires a hydraulic power source.
The performance of a Casinjac depends on the capabilities of its power source.  A hydraulic power unit with a pressure compensated hydraulic pump is required for accurate free points.

Each particular use of a Casinjac [ Uses ] has its own horsepower, flow, and pressure requirements.

Horsepower: Flow relates to jacking speed and pressure
relates to lift force

Horsepower required for 10 gpm @ 1,000 psi = 6.6 H.P.
Horsepower required for 50 gpm @ 5,000 psi = 165 H.P.

Examples of hydraulic power sources are:
  • skid mounted units
  • truck pto units
  • workover or drilling rig units
  • casing tong power units

See Intensifiers to learn about ways to intensify pressure from low pressure power sources.

Custom hydraulic power units are available to meet most
customers requirements.
