Hydraulic Power Units

A Casinjac requires a hydraulic power source to operate and the performance of the jack depends on the capabilities of that power source.  We've designed our HPUs with optimum performance of the jacks in mind.   Our hydraulic power units all have pressure compensated hydraulic pumps which allow the jacks to exert a steady continuous pull force. Our HPUs are available with optional heat exchangers, head-ache racks, and drip pans to fit your specific application.

Currently we offer 3 standard hydraulic power units, with custom units available from nearly any manufacturer to meet almost any need. Click on the links below to view a PDF of our most ordered units.

Each particular use of a Casinjac has its own horsepower, flow, and pressure requirements.

Horsepower: Flow relates to jacking speed and pressure relates to lift force.

Number of Cylinders Cylinder Bore Area (sq. ins.) Lift (lbs/1M) Speed (ft/hr)
4 4 50.27 50,270 700
2 4 25.13 25,135 1,400
4 5 78.54 78,540 460
2 5 39.27 39,270 920
4 6 113.1 113,100 280
3 6 84.82 84,820 420
2 6 56.55 56,550 560
4 7 153.54 153,540 240
2 7 76.97 76,969 480
4 8 201.06 201,060 155
2 8 100.53 100,530 310

Horsepower required for 10 gpm @ 1,000 psi=6.6 H.P.
Horsepower required for 50 gpm @ 5,000 psi=165 H.P.

Examples of hydraulic power sources are:

  • Skid mounted units
  • Truck PTO units
  • Workover or drilling rig units
  • Casing tong power units

Intensifiers

It is sometimes desirable or necessary to use a low pressure power source to operate a Casinjac; however in some instances its output pressure is not sufficient and the use of an intensifier is required.

We manufacturer two types of intensifiers:

Cylinder intensifier

Motor-pump intensifier
